Open-sided purse - Christmas themes

Hi everyone.

Today Id like to share with you a special purse. I often make sets of cards for gifts. So I always wanted to make something to hold those cards. I like something simple and easy to make. Look what I came up with.

Is that beautiful! :-)

This is very very easy to make. See below for the instruction.

OPEN-SIDES PURSE INSTRUCTION

Materials (all STAMPIN' UP!)
- 1 piece of 9” x 41/8” Baja Breeze cardstock
- 2 pieces of 4”x41/8” DSP
- 1 pieces of 9.4cm x9.4cm DSP
- 52cm of Baja Breeze 5/8” grosgrain ribbon
- Tree trimmings stamps set
- Baja Breeze ink pad
- Punches: 13/8” circle, scallop edge, horizontal slot
- Bone folder, 2-way glue pen, dazzling diamonds glitter, snail, paper snips

Step 1: Position cardstock lengthwise, score at 4” and 5”. Fold at the score lines to create a purse

Step 2: Glue 2 pieces of 4”x41/8” DSP onto 2 sides of the purse
Step 3: Trim ¼” from 4 top corners of the purse as picture

Step 4: Slide the 3rd piece of DSP into the scallop edge punch. Make sure it is right at the middle, punch. Then work it out to both ends.

Step 5: Repeat step 4 to the opposite side of the DSP

Step 6: Repeat step 4 to two other sides of the DSP. When finish, you will have a piece of paper in scalloped square shape. Fold in half and glue to the purse as picture.

Step 7: Using the horizontal slot punch to create 4 slots near the bottom of the front & back of the purse.

Step 8 (optional): Slide the circle punch from both sides of the front purse to make 2 holes. Trim the joining pieces of paper between 2 holes to create an oval shaped window. You can leave the window as it is or cover it with a piece of acetate.

Step 9: Stamp an ornament in Baja Breeze on whisper white cardstock, cut it out and stick onto the cover of the purse. Add some glitter on to the ornament.

Step 10: Put the ribbon through all the slot and tie a bow at the front. Now you have a beautiful purse to keep cards, notes, etc.

See you next post.

Fifth Avenue Floral card

Fifth Avenue Floral is one of my favor stamps sets at the moment. I wanted to do something with Elegent Eggplant. The big rose was layered up with 3 layers & some Dazzling Diamonds at the middle.

Others: Old olive 1.6cm Grosgrain ribbon, Elegant Eggplant 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon, Stamping sponges, Stampin' Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds

Embrace life - Donut card

Hi everyone,

Donut card has been around for a while. The image inside the window really catches my eyes. This card was made when my family was on holiday a while ago. I brought stamping equipment with me so I could have a stamping session with some friends. A lot of talking was done, along with stamping, punching, cutting, etc.

Embrace life is one of my favour sets (I have so many favour sets – that’s why I became a demo J ). Sometimes, it took me a while before I actually like a stamp set but this set was my “love at the first sign”.

Supplies list

Stamps: Embrace life, All Scallops
Cardstock: Ruby red, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
Inks: Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Basic Grey
Punches: Scallop Edge, Word Window
Others: River Rock double stitched ribbon, DSP Ginger Blossom, Blender pen

Ocean commotion card

Hi everyone,

I found this card in my drawer today and I realised that I had’nt posted it before. I made it in Jan. I just love the swirly and elegant look of this set.

The fishes were stamped and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I like the smooth and shiny finish of embossed images. In this card, the embossing finish emphasizes the fishes as the main part of the card.
Supplies list:
Stamps: Ocean commotion, Sandy Shells standard wheel
Cardstock: Very Vaniila, Whisper White, More Mustard, Ballet Blue
Inks: Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Ballet Blue, Pumpkin Pie
Punches: 1/16” circle
Others: Silver eyelets, Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Stampin’ Dimentionals
