Eastern blooms Altered pencil holder

Hi everyone.

Today, I want to show you one of the pencil holders I made in Dec last year as Xmas presents. I saw these pencil holders in starionery stores and thought they were perfect for my projects.

Eastern Blooms is one of my favourite stamp sets from the Summer Mini Catalogue. I like the branch with tiny flowers on . Plus six flowers come in different sizes and shapes. They become useful when you want to mix & match ink colors & papers. See what I came up with.

Is this pencil holder beautiful? :-)

I like the mix of these strong colours. They make the project look bright, beautiful and summery. But not too busy or over done with the colours. Tempting Turquoise is not really on my first choice list. After finishing this project, I think it is now. All the flowers were embossed with clear powder. Im thinking You can make few of them to give your kid’s teachers, your friends, birthday presents, etc. They can be very useful to every household to keep their pens handy in the kitchen, home office, etc, you name it! I kept one of these for myself. I’m going to make another one in a retangle shape.

Supplies list:

- Papers: Oliver Oliver, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise
- Ink pads: Oliver Oliver, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise
- Others: Clear Embossing powder, glitter, 3/8 inches Tempting Turquoise ribbon, double-stiched Pure Pomegranate ribbon

Thank you for visiting.
Hannah
